Have you ever heard of TTIP?

No? Do not worry you are not alone. The Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership, (T.T.I.P.), pronounced T-tip, is a secret agreement being negotiated by the European Union and the United States of America, (U.S.A.) is a being discussed as I write this and you are reading this. 

I came across this by accident at the farmer’s market in Chapel Market at the Angel, Islington, London. There was a leaflet from the “NO to TTIP”,  http://www.nottip.org.uk/ .  If I had been waiting for the British media to inform me about it I would still be waiting. As far as I know only "The Guardian" newspaper, and a ten minute piece on Radio 4 at about 6.30 in the morning, has had any  articles or comment on Britain regarding this robbery of democratic power. The only people who are trying to make the public aware of this are non governmental agencies such as War on Want http://www.waronwant.org/campaigns/trade-justice/more/inform/18078-what-is-ttip and as mentioned before NO to TTIP.

The three main political parties, the Tories, Labour and the Liberal democrats all recently held their national conferences all spoke about the economy, trade and the European market but not was there ever a mention of TTIP. Why? Because they, the establishment, still want it to remain secret from the public.   

The BBC once again has shown its toadying to the Government and the large global multi-national corporations by ignoring this trade deal between the European Union and the U.S.A. Is the B.B.C. not reneging on it commitment and its Royal Charter, to inform the licence fee paying public of public interest items? As for the right wing press such as the Rupert Murdoch owned rags such as “The Times” and the “Daily Mail” I would not expect them to highlight this as their policy is to uphold the establishment and the greedy money making wheeler and dealers of the large privately owned global conglomerates. The pressure on the government to come clean over TTIP is growing as more and more people become aware of the implications the TTIP agreement and the loss of democratic power to the large multi-nationals. This will affect everyone as it will allow these companies to control decisions which would normally be taken independently by the European governments and U.S.A. Presidency.
